of Business Development
As Director of Business Development, Jim Chabrier is responsible for direct sales of OMIX's professional services and the development of strategic business partnerships that leverage OMIX's expertise in standards-based application development.
"OMIX has a talented team of engineers and has been quick to establish skill sets in emerging technologies," says Jim. "It's exciting to be part of a company that's really at the forefront of e-Commerce development."
Jim has over ten years of sales experience in the high technology industry, and five years selling e-Commerce solutions. Prior to joining OMIX, Jim spent two years as a Sales Vice President for TransPoint, an application service provider for the electronic bill presentment and payment marketplace. There he developed new accounts with major companies including Knight Ridder, Cellular One, and Chevron, and helped catapult TransPoint from a zero-revenue start-up to a $1B stock merger in less than three years.
As the Internet began to boom in early 1996, Jim joined an e-Commerce industry standout, Open Market, as the Western Area Channel Manager. He helped build a channel for Open Market's parametric search engine catalog, LiveCommerce, and established the companys first catalog service provider customers.
Jim started his career at Sun Microsystems, holding positions within Operations and Sales. Among his contributions to Sun sales, Jim built up OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) and reseller channels with companies such as Xerox, Teradyne and Cemax, while consistently exceeding annual sales growth goals.
Jim holds a Bachelor's Degree in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.
