As Director of Marketing Communications, Maxine Lym utilizes her extensive media background to help generate press coverage and communicate OMIX's many newsworthy accomplishments. She is passionate about "getting the word out" about OMIX's design and engineering excellence and its extraordinarily positive company culture.
"From the very first time you meet people at OMIX, you know it's a special place," says Maxine. "Human values are core to the philosophy of this company, and it really shows in the way people treat each other."
Maxine brings more than 15 years of marketing and promotion experience to this position. Most recently, she was in charge of marketing the broadcast games of the Oakland Raiders and the Oakland Athletics through television and radio advertisements.
Prior to her sports marketing endeavors, Maxine was the Creative Services Director at KTVU FOX 2 (San Francisco broadcast market). Her primary responsibility was promoting the station's newscasts, including "The Original 10 o'clock News", the #1 prime time newscast in the country. One of the high points of her marketing career was featuring such Bay Area notables as Charles Schwab, former San Jose Mayor Susan Hammer, and restaurant designer/owner Pat Kuleto in a series of acclaimed KTVU testimonials.
Maxine has twice been honored with an Emmy from the Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for writing, producing and directing advertising campaigns. She also has Addy and PROMAX (the broadcast marketing industry's highest honor) awards to her credit.
A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Maxine holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from the University of California, Berkeley.
